The country house weekend.
Done
properly.

Bespoke private dining for Cotswolds country houses, barn conversions and manor retreats — from a Friday evening arrival dinner to a long Sunday lunch before the drive back. Seasonal, unhurried, completely effortless.

The Cotswolds weekend
has its own rhythm.

The house fills on Friday evening, there is something worth eating when the guests arrive, Saturday moves between the morning market, a walk and a proper dinner in the evening. Sunday is the long lunch. The tone throughout is generous and relaxed — but the food, for the right household, is never casual.

The country houses, converted barns and manor houses of Chipping Campden, Burford, Bourton, Stow and the surrounding villages are the settings for some of the finest private entertaining in England. The kitchens are often extraordinary. The space is there. The gardens, particularly in summer, are remarkable. What is sometimes missing is the time and the attention to do everything to the standard the house deserves.

Andrés travels to the Cotswolds for clients who want their country house weekend to feel as effortless as their London home. He arrives ahead of the guests, prepares everything from scratch using the finest available seasonal produce — and, wherever possible, the best of what the local area offers — and runs the kitchen for the duration of the stay. You are the host throughout.

Andrés Ribera — Private Chef, Cotswolds

Trained to the
highest standard.
Devoted to yours.

Andrés Ribera is a London-based private chef with over 14 years of experience across some of the world's most prestigious kitchens — including Nobu — and some of New York's most celebrated restaurants. Originally from Spain and now based in London, Andrés has cooked for royals, foreign heads of state, award-winning musicians and film directors.

His approach in a private home is rooted in one principle: the food should be remarkable and the service should feel effortless. Guests notice the quality on the plate, while everything behind the scenes is handled with calm precision. That is precisely the point.

Andrés works with a small number of country house clients at any one time, which means his full attention is always available to yours.

Beyond the kitchen, Andrés holds a Professional Diploma in Sports Nutrition from FC Barcelona, alongside certifications in Food and Health and Child Nutrition and Cooking from Stanford University — a foundation that informs not only what he cooks, but why.

Questions about hiring a
private chef in the Cotswolds.

Everything you need to know before making an enquiry. For anything else, write to hello@godsavethechef.co.uk

  • Yes. The Cotswolds is a regular part of Andrés's travel calendar — both for one-off weekend occasions and for clients with a country house who entertain there regularly throughout the year. Travel and accommodation costs are agreed in advance as part of the full engagement fee.
  • Yes, this is one of the most requested formats for country house clients. Andrés manages the full weekend kitchen: arrival dinner, Saturday meals, Sunday lunch, and any drinks receptions or informal catering around the main meals. The menus for the full weekend are planned in advance and discussed with you to ensure they match the rhythm and tone of the weekend.
  • Andrés sources from the finest available suppliers — his London network of specialist producers, combined with the excellent local and regional suppliers the Cotswolds offers, including estate game, local farms and the weekend markets in the area. Where the best version of an ingredient is local, that is what is used.
  • Yes. Autumn and winter shooting days have a specific rhythm and catering requirement — warming food at the mid-morning break, a proper field lunch, and an evening celebration. Andrés plans menus specifically around the day's schedule and the character of the party.
  • For a single occasion, a full evening's engagement is the minimum. For weekend visits, the conversation begins with what you need and works outward from there. There are no rigid packages — every engagement is built around your specific requirement.
  • Entirely. The full service includes sourcing the finest seasonal produce, arriving at your home ahead of the meal, preparing everything in your kitchen, serving at the table, and leaving your home in immaculate condition. You do not need to think about any of it.
  • As well as the Cotswolds, Andrés works across the Home Counties and beyond — including Essex, Hertfordshire, Oxford, Richmond, Surrey and Windsor. All engagements outside London follow the same process — a brief initial conversation, a menu built around your occasion, and any travel costs agreed in advance.

Let’s create something extraordinary.
