Kensington · Private Chef

Grand homes.
Dinners
that match.

Bespoke private dining for Kensington's most considered residences, from formal entertaining in the great houses off Campden Hill to quiet family dinners in the beautiful streets behind the High Street. The same standard, for every occasion.

Kensington keeps its grandeur
a private matter.

The wide streets off Campden Hill, the large private residences around Phillimore Gardens, the embassy properties and heritage townhouses that line the quieter roads behind Kensington High Street, these are homes of real substance. Some of the most significant private residences in London are in W8. The households that inhabit them have correspondingly high expectations.

Entertaining in Kensington tends to be serious, in the best sense. Not stiff, but considered. Dinner parties that have been thought about rather than assembled. Guest lists that mix professional and diplomatic circles. Menus where the produce is genuinely the finest available and the cooking reflects the occasion rather than just filling it.

Andrés has cooked in Kensington homes across the full range, from standing family arrangements to formal dinners for diplomatic guests, from summer garden entertaining to the kinds of occasions where the conversation in the dining room determines what happens next. His presence is always quiet. His cooking is not.

Andrés Ribera, Private Chef, Kensington

Trained to the
highest standard.
Devoted to yours.

Andrés Ribera is a London-based private chef with 15 years of professional experience, including more than six years in private households. Originally from Spain, his career has taken him through internationally respected kitchens, including Nobu, and celebrated dining rooms in New York, before moving into private work for some of the most discerning households and hosts in the UK and abroad.

He has cooked for royals, political figures, film directors, professional athletes, influential business leaders and some of the most recognisable names in music and entertainment, including Madonna. His cooking is rooted in Mediterranean elegance, Japanese precision and a deep respect for seasonal produce, with a strong command of accommodating complex dietary needs without compromising on flavour, balance or elegance.

Andrés works with a small number of Kensington clients at any one time, which means his full attention is always available to yours.

His approach is also informed by additional study in Child Nutrition and Food & Health through Stanford University, alongside Sports Nutrition through FC Barcelona Innovation Hub.

  • Andrés works across the full range of W8 properties, large period townhouses off Campden Hill and Phillimore Gardens, garden-level and raised-ground-floor apartments in the grand stucco crescents, and the beautiful residential streets between Kensington High Street and Holland Park Avenue. He adapts entirely to the kitchen layout and the scale of the dining space.

  • The foundation is modern European (drawing on classical French technique, contemporary British produce, and the best of Andrés's Spanish heritage) with Japanese and Mediterranean influences where they are right for the ingredient and the occasion. The approach is always seasonal and always personal to the client.
  • A short initial enquiry (by email or phone) is followed by a brief consultation to discuss your occasion, your guests and what you want the evening to feel like. From there, Andrés proposes a bespoke menu, refines it until it is exactly right, and handles everything from that point. The process is simple and personal.
  • Yes, from start to finish. Andrés chooses the produce, comes to your home ahead of the meal, cooks and serves throughout, and leaves the kitchen immaculate. The shopping, the preparation and the clearing away are all his responsibility, never yours.
  • Kensington is part of Andrés's wider private chef in London service, with regular work in nearby Chelsea and Knightsbridge. For a broader view, see the private chef London page.
